Some product tips on adding to-do lists on your pages; how adding an explainer video can help; and why you should involve your first users to get exposure after your launch.

Product Tips #18

👉 Add a to-do list

Keep your visitors on-site by giving them goals or tasks to complete. Add a to-do list on your page. They should feel a sense of accomplishment. The more time your visitors spend time on checking off the tasks, the better for your website.

As an example, you have a blog on your website. Add a to-do list to an article that provides some tips. As your visitors scroll, the to-do is checked off automatically. Or you can add HTML checkboxes instead. So, your visitors will be engaged even more.

👉 Show, don’t tell

Add an explainer video on how your product or service works to your homepage. It makes its value clear.

Explainer videos are short videos that explain what your product is and how to use it to convey its value clearly. Keep it short, 90 seconds max. Include an overview of the product, key features, the problems your product solves, social proof, and a call to action. You can do the video production yourself or use Fiverr or Upwork to get a freelancer.

👉 Benefits for first users

After your launch, give your first users a free upgrade to premium or some other valuable benefits and ask them to share your product in return. It’s crucial to get the exposure right after your launch. So, act! Involve your first users!

Everyone loves free stuff. And providing it to your first users will make them feel “special”. Don’t forget to say that they are valuable to you 😉 You even can personally email each first user. Many users will be happy to share your product in this case.
